The 'Art' of working out....

I don't think I ever mentioned that I did a stint as a personal trainer. 3 years. I'll never go back to it although I must say that during those 3 years, I was in the best shape of my life. I worked out sometimes 2 hours a day. I trained with the other trainers. We pushed ourselves and each other to the extremes......yet I still wasn't happy with my body. So sad. I've decided that no matter what I look like, I'll never look the way I want. So I'm scrapping it.

My husband is constantly telling me that he loves my body (but that's his job, right?) but 7 years after ending my stint as a trainer and 2 kids later, I'm done with my wimpy workouts. I was so motivated today by the fact that I could still do 3 pull-ups (I used to do about 3 sets of 10) that I decided to get moving again. I hired a trainer to push me. We start Wednesday.....can't wait!! I miss rough, crazy, exhausting workouts but I will never do them alone. So.....wish me luck!!

In the meantime, here's a street scene I did of our little Davidson. I'm happy with it but, whew! Detail is not my first love......

Sold! Thank you!
And a lovely little ditty I did for my church.

Ciao!

I used towork witha trainer and loved it...I never looked or felt better, until I started to get injuries from my joints ,etc...now am paying for all that heavy training. But I am itching to get back into the gym...but this time I will not go crazy. My joints took on too much, now I am arthritic...But it is such a great meditation, too. Good Luck!

Best of luck to you with your trainer. Sometimes it's so easy to get out of our regular scheduled workouts and a little motivation could be just the ticket.
I am my own trainer and lately, she's been on strike!

Love love love the street scene. I know what you mean about details. But it was worth it!
