I believe I am living in the beginnings of my 'sweet spot'. I did a study with some ladies last summer called, 'Living in your sweet spot' by Max Lucado. One of the best studies I've ever done. I think that book is what helped me firm up the decision to take on the craziness of the gallery. No business experience, no idea how to do paperwork.......but I did it. And I love it. It drives me crazy but I really do love it. Especially now that I've broken down and decided to have someone teach me how to use quickbooks, which is completely over my head and I also found a wonderful consignment system for the computer. Worth every penny. But...in the meantime, I've lost my one of my loves.....blogging and meeting other artists in cyper space. I've lost another facet of my 'sweet spot'. LOVE running a business but I am definitely first and foremost an artist. I can't let anything take that away no matter how 'sweet'! So....I've buckled down and gotten some more work done.
I'm pretty proud of the prints I've been putting out. One is a 10"x30" print of my 3rd last supper painting mounted on wood. I love that people who can't afford the originals can buy these and that they are big enough to look good on any wall. Here's a pix.....
And a funky new Adam and Eve painting. I have to snicker at my 'nudey' attempt. I couldn't not cover them up, though!
Have a great night, bloggers everywhere! Hope you are all living in your sweet spots!
I LoVe LOve LoVE your 3rd Last Supper Painting!!!! Love it! :) xoxo - Kim
