I'm trying to make myself try something new with each painting. It's really fun but I can't help but think that I'm going to absolutely ruin each piece. Most of the time, I really have no idea what I'm doing. I think lots of artists have a picture in thier head of what they want their painting to look like. Every now and then I get that picture, but more often than not, I just plow forward and whatever happens, happens. I must say, there have been some disasters. Some of my paintings have 2 or 3 other paintings underneath!
So here are a couple of experiments. They are in the gallery now. Oh, and I must mention that I signed on with an agent who will be taking my work around to other galleries. Very exciting. I hope it works out. I haven't been listing on ebay at all since the fees are absolutely through the roof. I'll just be on etsy from now on. Etsy has a special place in my heart, anyway.
Oh, and by the way....I'll be 35 on Friday and I am feeling the pain. Mid 30's. 5 Years til 40. Where did the time go? Oh, well. The 30's have been good to me and quite frankly, I feel like I'm 25 except for the occasional aches and pains And, I had both my girls within the last 5 years and I am totally obsessed with them. Life is good. 35......sigh. The future is bright....right?
Have a great week everybody!

ReplyDeleteHi, Krissy! 35 is nothing to afraid of! Happy birthday in advance. Your art has so much energy- ageless!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!I love all your new works! Age is only a number and I think artist stay younger than most. I am not sure why, but they do. I met an artist and she was in her eighties and it changed my life. I have never met anyone that had the cool factor more than this lady. She had a few wrinkles, but honestly her style and the twinkle in her eyes told the story. She told me how her art had changed over the years and how exciting it was to change with it. How cool is that!

ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean by being afraid of ruining a painting. I have an image in my head of what I want to paint, but it never turns out that way. Sometimes it is good, other times a disaster! so you are not alone, Lol!
