Feelin' the pain...

I read Jenn's post (noodleandlou.blogspot.com) and my heart totally went out to her. She just moved and is having a tough time. I'm with her. We moved 6 months ago and even thought it's only 30 minutes away, it is tough to not have that close knit group of gal pals right at your doorstep. Feels like life keeps going on without you (well, really it does) and your old stomping grounds miss you but get along without you just fine. That's good but really kinda sad. When you're 34, it's almost exhausting to start over. I LOVE where I live and I have wonderful friends here (that I knew before I got here) but after reading Jenn's post, I though....'wow, I'm not alone'.

So with that little 'woe is me'.......I'm back to painting my beloved Mermaids. Just got one finished. I know this is an absolutely HORRIBLE picture of it! This picture is pre-beeswax, which is actually on and drying right now. I'm always afraid to mail out beeswax paintings in the summer since it's so freakin' hot here in NC. But tomorrow we are officially in the 60's (woohoo!) so I'm back to the fun stuff.

This painting will be up for auction on ebay tomorrow night. I'm also adding 'Last Prayer in the Garden' to etsy tomorrow as well.

Goodnight!

Krissy

I'm right there with you!! All my gal pals are scattered, 2 in FL and one in MA and I'm in NY. It's hard because we all used to be minutes from each other and got together weekly. I need some girl time!!! I miss my chicas. Here's an idea for you, we started a blog together and post when we feel like it so we can keep up with what's going on with each other. HUGS!! I know how you feel completely!!!!

I love your mermaids, I think they have a light of their own with all the energy that they have. It seems you have been keeping busy. It always seems that once school starts, time just goes by quicker. Glad you stopped by, I love Holli's artwork too!
