Buenos Noches Amigas! Okay, that may not be the best Spanish (or maybe it is!) but I am trying my best to learn it. Here close to Charlotte, NC there is a major Mexican population and Kevin and I are dying to learn Spanish. In a few of the schools here they start the kids on Spanish in Kindergarten which I think is absolutely fabulous! I'm so obsessed with this that I stop every Latin-American I encounter at the gym and at my favorite coffee bar and ask them to speak Spanish with me. You'd think people would think I'm nuts but everyone has been so sweet and helpful. But....I still suck. Oh well. I'm learning like a baby would....one word at a time!
It was another beautiful day here in Davidson. 83 degrees and sunny. We road bikes into town, ate dinner, and had chai (well, Kevin had a beer) while the girls played on the playground behind the coffee bar. Oh, and I forgot to mention that Lilly is on a ladybug catching kick (she wants to be a 'bug catcher' when she grows up.....or a basketball star. Hmmmm) She caught over 50 this weekend and made a bug house. Of course, they got out and I had a bug infested screened-in porch. I guess it could be worse. She could be collecting roaches.......ugh.
Anyhooo......here is the latest offering. Hope you all enjoy! And thanks to all my sweet blogger friends who responded to my last post. We truly are all in this together, aren't we?
Luvies....

Maybe she could be a bug catching basketball star:):):) My Jake is the SAME way with any bugs, frogs, lizards...I don't like any of them! But at least he can catch spiders or bugs that are in the house and release them back into nature! happy week to you guys:)

ReplyDeleteI laughed at the ladybug catching! She should come to our apartment. They seem to go to sleep during the winter then all of a sudden, they're all over! Love your newest piece and your determination to learn Spanish! Thank you for such a wonderful comment on my blog...you made my whole night!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lively angel, I love the colors you used. Lovely work!
