I was going through some of my old photos of paintings and ran across a few that I nearly forgot about! I'm reposting this one because I was so very proud of the outcome. It was a present to my music minister at church from his wife. He had given me the idea a while before. It's David, fresh from battle, all dirty and sweaty....knicked a few places from fighting.....and he sits down on a rock to play his harp and worship God. Seriously, I wish I could come up with great ideas like that for a painting! But, anyhoo.....I found the photo I took of it before I delivered it and thought I'd re-share it! I worked on this one for hours....longer than I had worked on any painting before.
I was particularly proud of his feet!!
Happy Sunday. Hope the temp wherever you are is cooler than we are here in Davidson!

I love summer! The girls are out of school and we are officially 'pooling it'. And at night, after the girls go to bed, I'm loving opening up the windows to listen to the frogs sing, pouring myself a glass of wine and painting until my fingers cramp! Lot's of custom orders lately....jewelry, poems and paintings. It's a good thing I have ADD and can't concentrate on one thing for too long....keeps things from getting boring! Here are a few pix of some of newbies and oldies. Happy Summer everyone!
